 Shipping

The website shopping cart uses Australia Post as it’s shipping method with Express and Regular post options. Australia Post will not handle any items with dimensions over 105cm in length, therefore some kits must be sent via courier.

At Wired RC we will only charge you what it costs us to ship your order, if the shopping cart has charged you more we will refund the difference back to your PayPal account. At times it will be far cheaper for an order to be sent by courier than use Australia Post, in these circumstances we will contact you and see if you would prefer your order to be sent via courier and will then refund you the difference in shipping.

Wired R/C will not ship aircraft kits overseas, any kit orders placed to be shipped overseas will be cancelled and the buyer refunded. Lipo batteries cannot be shipped by airmail, they must be sent by road. Express post is not available on lipo’s or products containing lipos, if express post is selected as the shipping option the order will still be sent by regular post with Express post charge refunded.

Lithium Polymer Battery Guidelines
Please read before using your Lithium Polymer (Li-Po) Battery . If you are unclear regarding any of the information presented here please contact us before charging or discharging your battery. When purchasing a Li-Po battery the buyer assumes all risks associated with Lithium Batteries. We assume no liability for failure to comply with these warnings and safety guidelines.

Lithium Polymer batteries are volatile and can ignite if charged, discharged, stored or handled incorrectly.
Lithium Polymer Batteries have very specific charging requirements, they should only be charged by a charger made specifically for lithium polymer batteries. Before your first charge always check for damage to the connectors, wire leads or any other abnormalities. Check the voltage of the battery. Always check your charger is set to the correct cell count and charge rate before charging. The maximum charge rate for a LiPo battery is 1C (one times the capacity of the battery). Charging at a higher setting may result in fire.

To extend you battery life charge at even lower rates ie
800mAH: Charge at or below 800mA
1500mAH: Charge at or below 1500mA.

If at any time you witness a battery starting to swell up discontinue charging immediately, disconnect the battery, place it in a safe place and observe if for 15 minutes.

Always adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Do not charge Li-Po cells unattended
  • Do not charge Li-PO cells at more than 1C
  • Do not use a charger that has not been specifically designed for Li-Po cells
  • Ensure the charger is working properly
  • Do not charge to more than 4.2 volts per cell (overcharging may result in fire)
  • Do not discharge to more than 3 volts per cell (discharging below 3V per cell can dramatically deteriorate your batteries performance and is likely to cause the battery to become defective)
  • Always charge your Li-Po batteries in a place where they can not cause harm
  • Never charge your Li-Po battery whilst still inside a model
  • Never charge your Li-Po battery in your car
  • Never charge your Li-Po battery near any flammable material
  • Store your batteries below 27C and above 4C whenever possible.
  • Never store batteries in your car as high temperatures (over 60C) could cause a fire.
  • Do not bend, puncture or deform the cells in any way
